Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 24 ounce jarred tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Steps

  1. Fill a large pot with water and add 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once water is boiling, add spaghetti and stir well. Cook according to package directions (usually 8-10 minutes) until al dente.
  3. While pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pour in the 24 ounces of jarred tomato sauce and stir well.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer the sauce for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Drain the cooked pasta in a colander and return to the pot.
  7. Pour the tomato sauce over the drained pasta and toss gently to coat all noodles.
  8. Add 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese and 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese to the pasta. Toss gently until cheese begins to melt.
  9. Divide pasta among 4 bowls or plates and serve immediately.
