Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2.5 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded, shredded
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper, ground
- 8 ounce pepperoni slices, sliced
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Lightly brush a 9x13 inch (or similar rectangular) sheet pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, coating the entire bottom and sides.
- Place pizza dough on the oiled pan and gently stretch it to fill the entire surface, working from the center outward to create an even, thin layer.
- Use your fingertips to dimple the surface of the dough, creating slight indentations across the entire surface to prevent large air bubbles.
- Brush the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil lightly over the dough surface.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough in a thin layer, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper evenly over the sauce.
- Distribute shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, pressing gently so it adheres.
- If using pepperoni, arrange slices evenly over the cheese layer, slightly overlapping them.
- Place pizza in preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes on the pan.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut pizza into 8 even squares and serve warm.
