Ingredients
- 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
- 0.75 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic, minced
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon honey
- 0.25 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Steps
- Mince the garlic clove finely.
- In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Whisk the ingredients together until well combined, about 30 seconds.
- While whisking continuously, slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil in a thin stream to create an emulsion, then continue whisking until the vinaigrette is well emulsified and has a thick, cohesive consistency, about 1 minute total.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed—add more salt, pepper, or honey to balance acidity and sweetness.
- Transfer to a glass jar or container and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
