Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen edamame pods
  • 3 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the frozen edamame pods under cool water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Add the dried edamame pods to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the butter-sriracha mixture.
  5. Spread the coated edamame in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds, kosher salt, and red pepper flakes evenly over the edamame.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pods are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Transfer the roasted edamame to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh sliced scallions.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature as an appetizer.
