Ingredients
- 2.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 ounce unsalted butter, softened
- 0.75 cup granulated sugar
- 0.75 cup packed brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a wooden spoon or spatula until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers still appear slightly underdone.
- Remove baking sheets from the oven and let cookies rest on the pans for 2 minutes.
- Transfer cookies to a wire rack or plate to cool completely before serving.
